Our Philosophy

Our practice is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and supportive service for people with disorders of the endocrine system.  We have a focus on endocrinology disorders and treat a broad range of endocrine conditions and diabetes.

Our Team

Southeast Endocrine Associates comprise a group of independent contractor specialists in the field of endocrinology & diabetes who treat a wide range of conditions such as Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, thyroid, weight management including obesity, pituitary and adrenal diseases, and metabolic bone diseases including osteoporosis and parathyroid disorders.

We also have diabetes nurse educator and dietician on site at our practice.

Endocrinologists

  • Dr. Chin Yao Tan MBBS (Melb), BMedSc, FRACP

    Dr. Chin Tan is a graduate of Melbourne University and trained through Austin Health. He subsequently completed his specialist training in endocrinology at Monash Health and was admitted as a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

  • Dr. Mor Aik Wee MBChB, FRACP

    Dr. Mor Aik Wee graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She subsequently underwent basic physician training through Monash Health and completed her specialist training in endocrinology at Monash Health and Peninsula health.

  • Dr. Jimmy Shen MBBS, FRACP, PhD

    Dr. Jimmy Shen is a graduate of the University of Melbourne (MBBS) and completed advanced training in diabetes and endocrinology at Flinders Medical Centre (SA) and Monash Health (VIC).

  • Dr. Navira Samad MBBS, FRACP,

    Dr Navira Samad received her medical degree from Sindh Medical University in Pakistan and completed her clinical training in Melbourne, Victoria. She underwent basic physician training at Monash Health and went on to complete dual specialist training in Endocrinology and General Medicine through Monash Health (VIC) and Peninsula Health.

  • Dr. Pratyusha Naidu MBBS (Hons), FRACP

    Dr Pratyusha Naidu completed her schooling in Melbourne and graduated from Medicine with Honours at Monash University in 2009.

    She completed specialist training in Endocrinology at Austin Hospital, Northern Hospital and Box Hill Hospital and was admitted to the Fellow of Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2016.

  • Dr Henry Wong MBBS (MELB), BMEDSC, FRACP

    Dr. Henry Wong is a graduate of Melbourne University. He completed his Endocrinology training at Austin Health and Monash Health. He was admitted into the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2018.

  • Dr. Madhuni Herath MBBS, BMedSc(Hons), MPH, FRACP

    Dr Madhuni Herath graduated from Monash University and completed her physician training through Monash Health. She then completed her specialist training in Endocrinology through Royal Hobart Hospital (TAS) and Monash Health (VIC) and was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

  • Dr. Velislava Kiriakova MBBS, DRANZCOG, FRACP

    Dr Velislava Kiriakova graduated from Monash University and completed her physician training through Monash Health. She then achieved her specialist training in endocrinology through Monash Health, Austin Health and Royal Hobart Hospital and was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

  • Dr. Anthony Pease MBBS (Hons), FRACP, PhD

    Anthony graduated from Monash University with Honours and subsequently completed specialist training in endocrinology through Monash and Austin Health. His PhD and post-doctoral research has focussed on the clinical and cost-effectiveness of technologies in the management of type 1 diabetes.

     

     

     

  • Dr. Andi Alipoor MBBS FRACP

    Dr Andi Alipoor is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and completed her training in endocrinology and Diabetes at Barwon Health, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Eastern Health and Monash Health. She has public affiliation with Monash Health.

    Dr Andi Alipoor spent one year of her training as a clinical research fellow at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne on Type 1 diabetes and technology.

     

     

     

  • Dr Yong Nian Chee (Nick) MBBS FRACP

    Nick is a graduate of Monash University (MBBS) and completed his endocrinology specialist training at Monash Health, Austin/Northern Health and Eastern Health.

    He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in early 2024.

    Hilda Lee

    Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD, AN)

    Hilda graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics with Honours from Monash University. Since then she has worked in clinics all across Melbourne, and has helped many patients from various ages and cultural backgrounds in improving their diet, health and wellbeing.

     

  • Coralie Thomson
    Coralie Thomson Diabetes Educator

    Coralie graduated from Monash University as a registered nurse, and subsequently completed her Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education at Deakin University.

    Coralie is a Credentialled Diabetes Nurse Consultant at Monash Health, and also consults at St John of God Berwick hospital.
