Dr Madi Herath graduated from Monash University and completed her physician training through Monash Health. She then completed her specialist training in Endocrinology through Royal Hobart Hospital (TAS) and Monash Health (VIC) and was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Herath is currently completing a Fellowship in Clinical Andrology at Monash Health, gaining further subspecialty experience in men’s health including problems with testosterone, male infertility and caring for men receiving androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer. She has a keen interest in medical education, and teaches medical students at Monash Health. She is also involved in a number research projects at Monash Health investigating osteoporosis and bone health in younger adults.
Dr Herath welcomes referrals for all aspects of diabetes and endocrinology, including osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, men’s, women’s and transgender health, thyroid and parathyroid problems, pituitary conditions, adrenal disease and diabetes mellitus.
